Every year, the streets of Zundert in Netherlands blooms with spectacular and breathtaking floats covered with thousands of dahlias. The event is called Blumencorso Zundert or Zundert Flower Parade and happens every first week of September.
The parade is now celebrating its 80th anniversary and this year’s parade is composed of various bands and 20 floats that feature a sleeping lion, playful foxes, busy bees, a musical instrument, wild beasts, a frog, and a dragon.
Blumencorso Zundert is also a competition but has no theme. Designers and hamlets are free to express their creativity. Hamlet Tiggelaar’s entry of a fearsome dragon called “Dangerous Transportation” won first place.
